ok, i'm starting to get a little annoyed by how everyone is so enamoured with obama already, and he just took office. its not like i hate him, its just that i kind of need to see proof that he actually lives up to all the hype.
i mean seriously, people are treating him like he's this heavenly gift from god.
they performed an entire orchestra/choir performance on canada national tv just for him.
hopefully he does live up to all the high hopes the american people have for him, but expectations are so high, its just setting everyone up for failure and disillusionment.

call me a skeptic, but i like to see it before i believe it.

well the grill.
omg, for the first time in like two months, i haven't burned my chicken.
and have it still retain its moisture, and flavor.
o and did i mention? it looked delicious too.
and it all took only 7 minutes.
i'm so happy :D now i can cook flavorful, wonderful, reduced fat meals in less than 10 minutes.
its a must have for college students :D:D:D
i can cook like everything in it.
this sounds like an ad, but really, my stomach is smiling and thanking my brain for finally getting the good idea of buying one. :D

so yes, outcome inevitable, landslide by obama.
as i watched him speak on cnn, he's really a great speaker, i was witnessing a historical moment in united states history.
i really don't have an idea how america is going to do under obama, but all i know is that its going to change dramatically, because the people want it and obama is probably going to do it. 
so, for better or for worse, obama is who we've got now to lift america out of its economic crisis, environmental problems and international dilemnas.
i just hope that obama stays alive long enough to make those changes happen.

i'm really surprised at how much everyone up here is into the us elections. it feels like i'm kinda in the US.
this one guy i know smuggled a whole roll of "Obama/Biden" stickers and started passing them out.
everyone is talking about it, even at least one of my profs.
and my german friends are planning a "election party" for tonight. where we'll all get together in the tv room, and watch the election proceedings while eating.
yes i am in a very small minority right now. well i think i might be the only person, but personally, i don't think either candidate will really be able to do enough to fix the problems the US is in, so for me, whether or not obama wins or mccain wins, its a toss up, and we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

i know i've been up here this whole time during all the political campaigning and hubbub in the united states, so i really don't have too much knowledge on whats going on right now, but come on sarah palin. not even knowing that you didn't really star in a documentary called Hustlers Nailin Palin? wow, you've got to be kidding me. not ragging on the republicans, but this definitely does not bode well for Campaign McCain.

its funny how the past presidential elections for Canada (a couple of weeks ago) mainly relied on American politics, American economy and American relations.

k, enough of that.

was in fact just a way for the author to tie up lose ends basically.
very bizarre, bordering on wrongness except for the fact that most people want and like happy endings.
so i guess thats what the author decided to give us. without having the characters actually work for it.
the victory is in the struggle, not the reward.
too bad it made the whole book THEE worst one of the series.

Kite Runner was great, but A Thousand Splendid Suns, dang, even better.
i almost cried reading Kite Runner, but I just couldn't stop myself when reading A Thousand Splendid Suns.
he is probably the most bestest authors i've ever read from ever.
the only thing is, if you don't open yourself and let yourself be absorbed by the words, then you might as well not read it.
but that should go for reading all books :D

I just found out when the new Zune 2 will be coming out and it looks fkn better/awesome than the 1st generation. it has an 80 gb hard drive, a more intuitive finger pad thing, great resolution, 3.2 inch screen, wifi syncing capabilities, and a

totally revamped minimialistic software design for only $250 bucks. you really can't get any better than that. im not an ipod hater, they are the innovators in software and music players (pretty brilliant stuff) but its time for a new rising champ to take the top spot! :D  i mean, zune is the number 1 amazon top selling product (finally).

so even though i have the old one now, since i have a 2 year warranty, i'm just going to have it "accidentally" break, and get the new one when it comes out. and then buy another warranty on that one :D:D

and my tutoring today was super good.  she finally got stuff near the end (well, kinda sorta, more than last time and she didn't fall asleep either! YAY!) and i'm hoping that she gets a B on her next test, i'm rooting for her!
